The CPIML Uttar Pradesh state unit has demanded that a case should be registered against the police personnel guilty of the death of one of the two sisters in Chandauli who died during police beating, and they should be sent to jail.

Protests Held During Amit Shah’s Bhojpur Visit

An incident of vitiating communal harmony by the vandalization of an under-construction mosque in Nagri in Bhojpur district occurred last week. A dead pig was placed on a rod atop the under construction mosque, which clearly was an act done under a well-planned conspiracy, similar to the conspiracy being hatched across the country including Delhi and Uttar Pradesh to push the country into an atmosphere of communal hatred and violence in the name of Ram Navami, Hanuman Yatra, hijab etc.

A seminar under 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' on the topic 'First Untouchable Revolutionary Hero Who Challenged Brahminical Order in Ancient India' to be held on 14 May 2022 at the prestigious AN Sinha Institute in Patna is cancelled. CPIML Bihar State Secretary Kunal said that the cancellation is an attack on freedom of expression and is a matter of grave concern to all freedom and democracy loving people. He said that this is a fresh example of the growing BJP-ization of Bihar.

A CPIML fact-finding team met and spoke with the victim of the hate crime perpetrated in Satsangnagar (Sherghati) on 13 April 2022. They spoke with Mohd Naseem Shah and his family members at his home in Lodishaheed Maulviganj mohalla in Sherghati city to gather details of the incident.

Govt Must Conduct High Level Probe in View of New Facts

A CPIML-AIPWA state level team visited Chiraila village in Rafiganj Block a second time on 15 April 2022. The team comprised MLAs Mahanand Singh and Manoj Manzil, AIPWA General Secretary Meena Tiwari, Saroj Chaube and Shashi Yadav. The team obtained some new facts including a copy of the FIR filed by deceased Kajal Kumari's father, in the light of which they have reiterated the demand for a high level probe into the incident.

Ambedkar Jayanti observed across Uttar Pradesh

CPIML observed the 131st Ambedkar Jayanti by organizing various programs across Uttar Pradesh. Garlanding of Babasaheb's portrait and symposiums were held in the capital Lucknow Hardasi Khera, Daroga Khera and Kansiram Awas Colony. A rally culminating in a meeting was organized at Huli Khera in Sarojini Nagar, along with a one-act play depicting the plight of dalits, performed by former leader of Scooter India Mazdoor Union Rambabu Singh.

CPIML MLA Organizes Stakeholders’ Dialogue in Bhojpur

Manoj Manzil, CPIML MLA from Agiaon constituency in Bhojpur presided over a student-teacher-guardian dialogue on 16 April at Kaup High School in Gadhani. He happens to be the president of the school management board in capacity of the MLA from the area. This was quite unprecedented for the parents, teachers and students to have their own MLA in such a meeting to discuss problems regarding the education of their children face to face with an elected representative.
