Speakers at the symposium remembered Ambedkar's exhortation to 'educate, agitate, organize' and demanded that the Modi government should stop attacking democracy, the Constitution and social justice and desist from selling off national assets. They pointed out that Babasaheb had clearly said that becoming a Hindu Rashtra would be the greatest danger for India, our freedom, equality and brotherhood. The symposium voiced deep concern over the incidents of violence perpetrated at JNU and various other parts of the country using the Ram Navami festival as an excuse. Appealing to the people to oppose this strongly, they said progressive and peace-loving people in the majority community should become vocal against such violence.

Brijendra Tiwari, Ashok Miri, Shyamlal Sahu, RP Singh and others addressed the meeting.

Ambedkar Jayanti and Comrade Gurdas Chatterjee Martyrdom Day Observed across Jharkhand

CPIML observed Dr Ambedkar Jayanti and Comrade Gurdas Chatterjee martyrdom day across Jharkhand on 14 April 2022. The CPIML Ranchi Committee organized a 2 hour hunger strike program in front of Raj Bhavan against hate and violence and for social harmony and equality.
Today the country is going through its worst ever phase since Independence till the present date. The most recent examples of this are the religious frenzy and incitement being spread in Jharkhand's Koderma and Lohardaga and also in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Hate and violence will not result in progress and development but in the country's destruction. Today is the time to further strengthen the political values of Babasaheb's Constitution and dedicated men like Comrade Gurdas.
