March Against Fascism in JNU

The All-India Students’ Association (AISA) organised a Anti-Fascist march at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on the night of September 28, commemorating the 117th birth anniversary of revolutionary Bhagat Singh and the 33rd martyrdom of Shankar Guha Niyogi. The march drew a diverse crowd of students, activists, and supporters, united in their demand to stand against fascism and protect the rights of marginalised communities. 

CPIML Demands Special Bihar Assembly Session to Discuss Burning Issues

In a statement issued on October 1, CPI(ML) Bihar State Secretary Com. Kunal condemned the anti-people attitude and unwillingness of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to address pressing public concerns. He pointed out the workers and toiling masses of Bihar are facing several serious issues, but the government has completely failed to address them.

Foundation Stone Laid for Kisan-Mazdoor Bhawan in Jhunjhunu

The All India Kisan Mahasabha (AIKM) organised a Sankalp Sabha in honour of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh's birth anniversary in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan on September 27. The event took place at Hashmi Nagar, near the Bakra Road railway crossing, with renowned mathematician and philanthropist Dr. Ghasiram presiding over the function. During the meeting, Dr. Ghasiram laid the foundation stone for the Kisan-Mazdoor Bhawan on land donated by him.

CPIML CC Pays Tribute to Comrade Sitaram Yechury at Memorial Event in Delhi

Addressing the memorial event for Comrade Sitaram Yechury held on September 29 at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, CPIML General Secretary Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya said that the personal political journey of Sitaram has come to a sudden end after five eventful decades, but the collective journey of India's communists and the whole range of anti-fascist forces to a robust federal, democratic, secular and socialist future will continue undeterred with renewed vigour and determination.

Pratirodh Sabha against Killing of Comrade Sunil Chandravanshi

A Pratirodh Sabha, resistance meeting, was organised on September 21, 2024, at Imamganj Bazaar condemning the brutal murder of CPIML leader Comrade Sunil Chandravanshi. The meeting, which began with paying homage to the martyr comrade Chandravanshi, was addressed by Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya, General Secretary of CPIML and Comrade Sudama Prasad, National Organization Secretary of All India Kisan Mahasabha and MP from Ara.

Govt is Responsible for Stray Cattle Menace!

On September 18, 2023, hundreds of villagers and local peasants under the All India Kisan Mahasabha (AIKM) banner gathered at the Uttarkhand’s Lalkuan tehsil in Uttarakhand to protest the increasing menace of stray cattle which is a manifestation of government's cow protection laws. The protesters herded stray cows and bulls inside the tehsil office, demanding to manage these animals that are wreaking havoc on livelihood of local farmers and have become the biggest source of life threatening accidents.

Trade Unions Organise Black Day Across India Demanding Strengthening of Workers’ Rights

On the call of the joint platform of Central trade unions a ‘Black Day’ was organised across the country on 23 September 2024 demanding for withdrawal of anti-worker Labour Code laws. The protest action also called an end to rampant privatisation of public resources and institutions and demanded immediate steps to prevent the dilution and violation of rights of the working class.

AIPWA Delhi Conference Concluded

AIPWA successfully concluded its 4th Delhi State Conference at Delhi’s HKS Bhawan on September 22 . The open session featured addresses from journalist Neha Dixit, Nidhi Suresh, and AIPWA National Secretary Comrade Meena. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony honouring women activists who have bravely resisted the brutal crackdown by the Modi government.

Bihar State ASHA Workers Union Holds State-Level Meeting

The Bihar State ASHA Workers Union (Gope Group-AICCTU) held a state-level meeting on September 19, 2024 at the union's office in Punaichak Atal Path, Patna.The meeting addressed pressing issues concerning ASHA workers and reached crucial decisions aimed at spearheading the movement for their rights and demands. It was decided that ASHA workers will carry out the upcoming Plus Polio campaign while wearing black armbands to protest against the non-implementation of the Rs. 2500 monthly honorarium.
