AICCTU Meet in Uttarakhand

The Uttarakhand State Committee meeting of the All India Central Council of Trade Unions (AICCTU) was held on September 15 in the Nagar Nigam Auditorium in Haldwani. The meeting saw key discussions regarding workers' and employees' rights and the state government's policies.

The meeting commenced with a one-minute silence in tribute to the sudden demise of CPI(M) General Secretary Com. Sitaram Yechury. The session was conducted by AICCTU State General Secretary Comrade K. Bora.

Daylight Robbery of 40 Cattle by Bajrang Dal Cow Vigilante Goons in Patna

A Patna (Naubatpur) resident Israfil Alam was legally transporting 28 cows along with 12 calves in a truck to a cattle fair on 4 September. He has a licence for cattle trade. His truck was stopped at Phulwari Sharif by a gang of Bajarang Dal goons already waiting there. These goons started pelting stones at the truck along with shouting of slogan Jai Shri Ram, then hijacked it and was taken to Tamtam Padav, from there all cattle were stolen by goons.

Ekta Rally on the Occasion of CPIML-MCC Merger

The Ekta Rally – Unity Rally – on 9 September organised on the occasion of the merger of two prominent left parties in Jharkhand, CPIML Liberation and Marxist Coordination Committee (MCC), was concluded with a resolve to defeat BJP in the forthcoming elections in Jharkhand.
