Student-Youth

Students and youth were brutally lathi charged in Patna on 1 March 2021 during their protest for education and employment. Many youths including MLAs Sandeep Saurabh, Manoj Manzil and Ajit Kushwaha were injured in the lathi charge. On 2 March this issue was raised strongly inside as well as outside the Bihar Assembly.

A statewide chakka jam was held across Bihar on 18 February 2021 in respinse to the call given by AIKSCC for a countrywide chakka jam in support of the ongoing farmers' struggle. The demands made through the chakka jam are: repeal of the 3 farm laws, withdrawal of Electricity Bill 2020, guarantee of MSP and arrest of RSS-Bajrang Dal members who attacked farmers sitting on dharna at Muzaffarpur.

The student-youth Shiksha Rozgar Yatra for education and employment, from 7 February to 15 February 2021, continued with four separate teams who travelled across Bihar in four directions. After 15 February the RYA campaign will continue towards the Assembly gherao on 1 March on the issues of education and employment.

Leader of CPIML Legislative Party Comrade Mahboob Alam flagged off the Shiksha-Rozgar (Education-Employment) Yatra organised by AISA and RYA on 7 February at Patna University Gate.

Hundreds of Students, Youth, Workers and Citizens Come Out in Delhi to Join Citizens’ March in Support of the Farmers Struggle.

AISA and RYA held a press conference at Chhajubagh in Patna on 1 February 2021 attended by RYA National President and Agiaon MLA Manoj Manzil, AISA National General Secretary and Paliganj MLA Sandeep Saurabh, RYA State Secretary Sudhir Kumar, AISA State Secretary Sabir Kumar, Joint Secretary Akash Kashyap and Vikas Yadav.

A Rozgar Adhikar March (Right to Employment March) was organized on 29 November 2020 at Phulwarisharif. The march started from Kargil Chowk after the garlanding of Bhagat Singh’s statue.

The march was attended by a large number of people, activists and leaders including RYA National President and Agiaon MLA Manoj Manzil, RYA National General Secretary Neeraj Kumar, Phulwari MLA Gopal Ravidas, RYA State Secretary Sudhir Kumar, Jitendra Paswan, Ranjit Ram, and other national leaders.

Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh was remembered on his 113th Birth Anniversary on 28 September across the country. All CPIML units held various programmes on this occasion to reiterate the pledge to strengthen the fight against the fascist regime and fulfil the dream of the martyrs of freedom movement.
