CPIML strongly condemns the casteist murder of a dalit youth in Bhikiasain of Uttarakhand and demands strict action against all the persons responsible for this ‘honour’ killing.

The Bihar State Local Corporation Workers' Mahasangh affiliated to AICCTU and Bihar Local Bodies Joint Workers Sangharsh Morcha organized a statewide indefinite strike since 27 August 2022.

The brutal murder of Ankita Singh, a 19-year-old girl in Jharkhand’s Dumka district is extremely shocking. As per reports, the police have arrested Shahrukh Hussain, who has been accused of stalking Ankita. The latest report by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) - Accidental Deaths and Suicides in India - shows an alarming increase in the suicide rate among daily wage workers since 2014. According to the report, the suicide rate in 2014 among daily wagers, one of the most exploited categories among working class was 12 percent.
