The fourth two-day national conference of All India Kisan Mahasabha concluded in Bakramganj of Bihar on 24 September with a call to strengthen the farmers’ unity and movement to carry forward farmers struggles against the betrayal of Modi government and non-fulfillment of promises made after the successful yearlong Delhi agitation.

On 22nd September 2022, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Directorate of Enforcement (ED) and State police units conducted raids on the offices of Popular Front of India (PFI) in what they state has purported to be a “terror crackdown”, and has arrested several of its leaders and members. However, the complaint filed by an officer of the Crime Banch, on which basis an FIR has been registered in K.G.

During 1857 war of independence the Rajwar revolt in the hills of Nawada in Bihar continued for almost ten years. In commemoration of the heroes of this historic battle – Jawahir Rajwar, Aetawa Rajwar and Karu Rajwar – and for constructing their memorial a mass meeting was organised on 21 Sep. 22 in Sitamarhi of Nawada district.

CPIML Politburo Member Dhirendra Jha, addressing the press conference on 26 September, said that raids on CPIML district and block offices in Darbhanga are the result of police panic. The demolition campaign against of poor, despite government instruction against such move shows BJP mentality of administration. Police stations are connected to land mafia and liquor mafia. In dozens of villages next to the Bahadurpur police station police station, such illegal businesses are rampant under the supervision of police.

Several youth and students, including AISA came together to commemorate ‘Global Climate Strike’ in Bengaluru September. Farmers who have been protesting the forcible acquisition of their lands in Devanahalli by the KIADB for the past several months also joined the climate strike and spoke at this protest. The participating organisations expressed their solidarity with these farmers and recognised their role in fighting climate change.

The sanitation workers of Bishnupur Municipality are being deprived from their grant of adhoc bonus which in the last year was announced by the West Bengal government at Rs 4500, but the workers got only 1,200. The 'Bishnupur Pourasabha Sangrami Sromik Karmachari Union' protested and a dharna in front of municipality gate was organised on 12 September.

The Bhagat Singh Brigade was organised in many districts of Maharashtra including Pune, Ahemadnagar and Satara. The Brigade is now expanded its reach to the South Maharashtra districts of Kolhapur and Satara and in Ahemadnagar.

CPIML has demanded arrest of the goons who on 19 Sept barged into the Ambedkar hostel in Patna and attacked dalit students, seriously injuring many. The party has asked the state government to ensure security and safety of students coming from vulnerable communities and to guarantee proper treatment of all injured students.

Comrade Arjun Lal was released from jail on 20 September. He was arrested last month in Hargaon, in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh for standing with the dalits demanding justice against atrocities committed by upper caste goons. When he went with the dalit families to the thana to lodge a first information report, the police in connivance with the perpetrators arrested him and many others.

The police in Lakhimpur Kheri has displayed an unusual hurried response in the matter of investigation into the ghastly crime of murder and rape of two dalit sisters. The version of the incidents as told by the mother of two sisters, who also is a witness to the crime, differs from the official police version at many points. This raises question against the police version and hence the CPIML demanded a high level investigation of this crime.
