Raids on CPIML offices in Darbhanga is result of police panic due to increasing people’s movement

CPIML Politburo Member Dhirendra Jha, addressing the press conference on 26 September, said that raids on CPIML district and block offices in Darbhanga are the result of police panic. AISA Participates in Global Climate Strike Day in Bengaluru

Several youth and students, including AISA came together to commemorate ‘Global Climate Strike’ in Bengaluru September. Farmers who have been protesting the forcible acquisition of their lands in Devanahalli by the KIADB for the past several months also joined the climate strike and spoke at this protest. The participating organisations expressed their solidarity with these farmers and recognised their role in fighting climate change.

Comrade Arjun Lal released

Comrade Arjun Lal was released from jail on 20 September. He was arrested last month in Hargaon, in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh for standing with the dalits demanding justice against atrocities committed by upper caste goons. When he went with the dalit families to the thana to lodge a first information report, the police in connivance with the perpetrators arrested him and many others.

CPIML Team Visits Family of Rape-Murder Victim Sisters in Lakhimpur Kheri

The police in Lakhimpur Kheri has displayed an unusual hurried response in the matter of investigation into the ghastly crime of murder and rape of two dalit sisters. The version of the incidents as told by the mother of two sisters, who also is a witness to the crime, differs from the official police version at many points. This raises question against the police version and hence the CPIML demanded a high level investigation of this crime.
