Encephalitis Havoc Recurs, Bihar Government Callous Once Again

CPIML Bihar State Secretary Kunal said that the encephalitis fever has once again started to create havoc in the State, but it seems that the government has learnt no lessons from the painful deaths of more than 500 children last year and remains as callous as ever this year also. So far 5 children have died this year in Muzaffarpur and if immediate measures are not taken there will be a repetition of last year’s horrific crisis.

Repression and Resistance During Lockdown: Lockdown Does Not Mean License to Repress

CPIML Bihar State Secretary Kunal said in a statement issued on 17 April 2020 that the police in Bihar are unleashing brutal repression on the poor, workers, weaker sections, and even shopkeepers, sanitation workers and other working people who are risking their lives during the Lockdown to reach essential goods and services to the common people. This is extremely condemnable. The administration should not think that Lockdown is a license for police repression. The Bihar Chief Minister and DGP must intervene immediately in this matter and stop this repression.

Repression and Resistance During Lockdown: CPIML Demands High Level Enquiry Into Begusarai Killings

IN a Press statement issued on 19 April CPIML State Secretary Kunal condemned the killing of Santosh Kumar Sharma in Beguserai and demanded a high level enquiry into the incident. From initial reports it appears that the killing was done by the Navakothi Thana under pressure from feudal-criminal forces. It appears that big political names of the District are also involved in the incident.

Repression and Resistance During Lockdown: Morale of Feudal-Communal Forces on the Rise during Lockdown

CPIML Bihar State Secretary Kunal and Patna District Secretary Amar issued a Press statement on 19 April expressing grave concern over the consistently rising morale of feudal-communal forces. Hate-mongering against minorities is being done in the name of the Lockdown and an atmosphere of hate is being created. The CPIML has demanded intervention from the Bihar government but the government is least bothered.
