Dumka district of Santhal Pargana is amongst the largest districts of Jharkhand, and is well known for the historical legacy of Sidhu-Kanu, Chand-Bhairav and Phulo-Jhano, who fought British colonialism. Under the patronage of the Modi government today once again the vulture eyes of the corporates have come to Dumka's forest, land and resources. There is also a huge threat to the environment, nature and tribal culture. It will need strong unity and a long drawn struggle to defend this.

Jharkhand Government Very Indifferent on the Issues of Minorities

In Jharkhand a state-level 'Fikri Nashist' (Contemplation Meeting) was organised on the burning issues faced by minorities in State Capital, Ranchi on June 18, 2013. Former MLA of CPIML Rajkumar Yadav and State Secretary of CPIML Manoj Bhakt participated. In deliberations, it came out that in the last three and half years since the Hemant government came in power, it remained indifferent to the issues of minorities and seems to be suffering from an untouchability like mentality.

BJP Dividing Society in the name of Uniform Civil Code

In view of the ongoing opposition in the country on the Uniform Civil Code, the office bearers of the Imarat-e-Sharia met the CPIML leaders and appealed to oppose it in Bihar as well. The President of the organisation Mohd. 19th Martyrdom Day of Comrade Rameshwar Ravidas Commemorated

On 19th Martyrdom Day of CPIML leader Rameshwar Ravidas, a resolution meeting was organised at Shaheed Maidan in Surunga (Baliapur) of Dhanbad, Jharkhand on June 18, 2023. While addressing the gathering, the speakers said that Com Rameshwar fought for the rights of the Dalit and deprived communities throughout his life. A call was given to organise women for social, economic, political and cultural equality and to strengthen the 'Nasha Nahi Rojgar Do' (Give Employment Not Drug Menace) campaign.

Farmers’ Convention in Bihar

The All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC) and Kisan Sangharsh Morcha organised a kisan sammelan on 24 June in Patna on the issues of MSP, Food Security and Loan Waivers for the farmers. The convention was attended by more than 1200 representatives of various constituent farmers organisations and addressed by many national as well as state level farmers’ leaders. The convention passed a 24-points demand charter for Bihar.
