In Jharkhand a state-level 'Fikri Nashist' (Contemplation Meeting) was organised on the burning issues faced by minorities in State Capital, Ranchi on June 18, 2013. Former MLA of CPIML Rajkumar Yadav and State Secretary of CPIML Manoj Bhakt participated. In deliberations, it came out that in the last three and half years since the Hemant government came in power, it remained indifferent to the issues of minorities and seems to be suffering from an untouchability like mentality. Many constitutional issues of minorities have not been resolved such as non-selection of qualified persons in Minority Commission, Minority Finance Corporation, Waqf Board and Urdu-Madrasa Board. Apart from this, law against mob lynching has not been enacted in Jharkhand. Victims of mob lynching are not getting justice, job, compensation, and rehabilitation. The investigation report of the incident that took place in Ranchi on June 10 has not been made public till date. The issue of Namaz Gah in the Vidhan Sabha, the question of Urdu language and the issue of school holidays also featured in the deliberations. It was pointed out that there is a severe lack of government schemes in the settlements of minorities and the condition of public health is shabby. Implementation of the minority scholarship scheme remains pathetic. Minorities felt marginalised in the State and it was appealed that the State government should address the burning issues of the minorities immediately.
The Insaf Manch would march forward in Jharkhand by taking along minorities, tribals, dalits and women. Conferences will be held with these communities and groups in the month of June and July in different districts of Jharkhand. Membership campaign of Insaaf Manch will be conducted. Along with this, MLA Vinod Singh, former MLAs Rajkumar Yadav and Arup Chatterjee and CPIML State Secretary will lead a delegation of minorities to Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Usman Ansari presided over the meeting which was anchored by Nadeem Khan.
