Bhojpur Bandh in Protest of Murder of Comrade Jhari Paswan

BHOJPUR district remained shut on 17 October in protest against the heinous murder of comrade Jhari Paswan (Suresh Paswan). He was killed by the unidentified motorcycle borne assailants on 15 October morning which undoubtedly is an outcome of strengthening criminal-mafia-politician nexus in the region. All the major highways in the district remained jammed for whole day was an expression of the great loss common people in the area felt with the death of their fighting comrade and leader.

Gang Rape and Murder of Minor in Masaurhi

A heinous incident on gang rape and murder took place in Karariya of Masaurhi in Bihar where the victim family is founding it very difficult to get justice in face of the intimidations by the dominant people from ruling parties. A CPIML team visited the affected family on 10 October 2019, enquired into the gang rape and murder incident and spoke with members of all communities in Karariya to know the details of the incident.

Protests in Uttar Pradesh against Modi Government’s Decisions on Kashmir

IN response to the unconstitutional abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A protests are taking place in different parts of the country. Delhi Factory Fire – AICCTU Protest and Fact Finding

ALL India Central Council of Trade Unions has sharply criticized Delhi government for its continued laxity in matters of industrial safety which has taken lives of hundreds of workers during last few years. Recently another factory in Jhilmil Industrial Area met with a fire accident taking the lives of three more workers. The AICCTU has said that these factory fires have become a phenomenon of greedy factory owners who never care for the lives of the workers while the Delhi gov.

Protest against Railway Privatisation and Corporatisation

RAILWAY workers along with the workers from other sectors who came in solidarity protested at Jantar Mantar on 10 July demanding complete withdrawal of Modi government’s plans of privatization of railways and corporatization of many production units. In the protest which was organised by AICCTU the Railway workers shared their woes and grievances as well as their long pending unresolved demands.

Punishment to CPIML Leaders in False Cases is Unfortunate

A court in Arwal, Bihar has recently pronounced guilty and punished six CPIML leaders in a decade old false case imposed by the police for raising voices of the poor and downtrodden is quite unfortunate. These activists- an ex-Mukhiya and popular leader comrade Ganesh Yadav, Anil Thakur, Badshah, Suresh Sao, Devlakhan Rajak and a teacher Bhishm Narayan Yadav - had nothing to do with the murder of one Vijay Yadav which took place on 3 September 2009 in Khabhaidi village.

Protest against Mob Lynching of Tabrez Ansari

JAN Sanskriti Manch and Insaf Manch held out a protest march in Darbhanga on 5 July against the rising incidents of mob lynchings and condemned the culture of mob violence being encouraged by the government. The protest was held to demand proper action against the lynching of Tabrez Ansari and to condemn the increased attacks on minorities, dalits and women after the Modi 2.0 came back to power.
