Lecture on 'Freedom Movement and Partition' Organized in Uttarakhand

A lecture on 'Freedom Movement and Partition' was organized by the Nainital People's Forum on 12 December at the Nainital. The main speaker AIPWA National Secretary Kavita Krishnan underlined the importance and necessity of revisiting the history of the freedom movement in today's times. In the 75th year of independence, the Modi government is distorting and falsifying history and consciously presenting a communal version of the freedom struggle and partition and through this making every effort to carry forward their communal campaign.

75 Years of Independence: People's Campaign

The people's campaign called by historians, intellectuals, cultural activists and civil society to mark 75 years of the country's independence began at the Bharatiya Nritya Kala Mandir in Patna on 18 November 2021 on the birth anniversary of Batukeshwar Dutt, great revolutionary and comrade of Bhagat Singh. Earlier, a meeting was organized at Batukeshwar Dutt Lane in Jakkanpur and the great revolutionary's statue at the Vidhan Sabha main gate was garlanded.

Kisan Sansad’s Final Women’s Session Passes No Confidence Motion Against Modi Government


On Quit India day (9 August), the farmers’ parliament (Kisan Sansad) held its 13th and concluding session – a session for women representatives alone – demanding that corporates quit agriculture and Modi quit the PM’s chair. The Kisan Sansad passed a unanimous resolution expressing no confidence in BJP led government.

Bihar: Gov Undercounting the Number of Covid Deaths by At Least Twenty Times


On 29 July CPIML Bihar State Secretary Kunal released the provisional report of the party's investigation into deaths that occurred during Covid times. He said that the government is undercounting the number of deaths by at least 20 times which is a great injustice.

The CPIML legislative party has also submitted a copy of the report to the Bihar Assembly Speaker and demanded a discussion in the House.
