He said that this is not an accident but the result of sheer negligence. The Chief Minister cannot hush up the truth by giving Rs 4 lakhs compensation to the victims' families. He demanded a full enquiry by a committee constituted by the Assembly.

On 10th February the Mongolpuri of Delhi saw the unfortunate murder of Rinku Sharma, a resident of the area. The Delhi Police have arrested five persons- Zahid, Mehtab, Nasruddin, Islam, Tazuddin- in connection with the murder. The Delhi DCP of Outer Delhi has gone on record to say that there is no ‘communal link in the crime’ and that Rinku Sharma’s murder was a case triggered by a business rivalry.

The weavers in Varanasi have gone on an indefinite strike in protest of unusually high power tariffs hike by the Yogi government for them. Nearly twenty-five thousand of weavers in this internationally renowned center of silk sarees have shut down their looms with the demand to withdraw the hike which is another blow on their livelihood after the inhuman lockdown.
