Madhu Limaye birth centenary celebrations concluding event was held at Constitution Club in Delhi on 30 April 2023. This was presided over by Satya Pal Malik, ex-governor of Jammu and Kashmir and addressed by literateur Ashok Vajpayee, CPIML Gen Sec Dipankar Bhattacharya, CPIM Gen Sec Sitaram Yechuri,  CPI leader Aziz Pasha, JDU leader KC Tyagi, Congress leader Sandip Dixit, Abhay Chautala of INLD and many others.

AIPWA, AISA, AICCTU and AILAJ Join Protest of Indian Wrestlers

A team of AISA-AIPWA-AILAJ went to Jantar Mantar on 26 April in solidarity with the protesting wrestlers and to demand that Brij Bhushan Saran be immediately sacked from WFI Chairpersonship, immediately file an FIR and initiate action against him. These organisations appealed to the entire section of the society to support the cause of the protesting wrestlers in their fight against sexual harassment, institutional impunity and utter abuse of power.

All India People’s Forum organised a convention in Ranchi on 26 April 2023 on “Communal-Corporate Fascism and Democratic Resistance”. CPIML GS Dipankar Bhattacharya addressed the convention as keynote speaker where he said that growing attacks on democracy and constitution demands from us to launch a movement as powerful and bigger as the Freedom Struggle. India caters to a rich legacy of syncretic culture and civilisation which must be our guiding force to combat the forces responsible for hate filled, frenzied violent and divisive atmosphere.

Left Parties Meet on Bihar’s New Teachers Appointment Rules

Left parties, CPI, CPIM, and CPIML, held a meeting on 29 April at CPI state office in Patna to discuss the needed changes in the new appointment rules made by Bihar government for teachers’ appointments. There was a promise in Mahagathbandhan manifesto of 2020 of regularising all teachers in the state which will not be fulfilled with the newly formed regulations.

Nationwide Program by AIARLA Calls for Urgent Steps to Mitigate Rural Distress

A nationwide program by All India Agricultural and Rural Labourers Association (AIARLA) was held across various districts and blocks on March 27 demanding urgent intervention by governments to mitigate the increasing rural distress. The demonstration were held across the country in the background of increasing inflation and employment, Modi government’s attack on MGNREGA scheme and PDS system, increasing debt burden and rampant evictions of poor from their houses.

CPIML Observes Party Foundation Day and Lenin’s Birth Anniversary

On the occasion of the 54th foundation anniversary of CPIML and 153rd birth anniversary of Comrade Lenin, party units all over the country commemorated the day by hoisting the red flag and paying tributes to Comrade Lenin and Comrade Charu Mazumdar and all martyrs and departed leaders who have sacrificed their all for the liberation of the Indian people.

Some facts about a nexus came to light and the party has demanded investigation into the close relationship between the mafia with local BJP MP and MLAs in Sugauli. The liquor mafia uses innocent poor as their cannon fodder and saves their backs. 

EVICTION WAR !

There is an eviction war going on in today's India. The bulldozer, the most proud symbol of the BJP's Yogi model of governance (and justice, in the vocabulary of Bhakts) has become ubiquitous. The poor living in slums and unauthorised colonies in cities and on undocumented homestead land in villages and Muslims across India are of course the most common targets of this eviction war.
