Condemn the brutal massacre by Israeli forces at Al-Shifa Hospital Complex and Killing of Foreign Aid Workers in Gaza

On March 30, CPIML released the list candidates for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 and the bye-elections in the state of Bihar and Jharkhand. Under the banner of INDIA alliance, CPIML has fielded candidates in Bihar's Arrah, Karakat and Nalanda, Jharkhand's Kodarma and also for the bye-election in Agiaon assembly constituency. 

CPIML Bihar State Secretary Kunal has strongly condemned the brutal police repression on the farmers protesting for their legitimate demands in front of the Chausa Thermal Power Plant in Buxar. He called BJP-JD(U) an anti-farmer government.

Protesting against the notification to discontinue plus-two (intermediate) classes being held in colleges from April 1 issued by the Bihar Education Department, hundreds of students marched to the office ruling JD(U) on March 1. The march was met with heavy police repression, and several students were injured, including AISA activist Hemant Raj in the police lathi-charge. CPIML MLA Rambali Singh condemned the police action and said that the BJP-Nitish government is hell-bent on destroying the lives of students and the education system in Bihar.

Hundreds of workers under the banner of Bihar State Construction Mazdoor Union, All India Construction Workers Federation and AICCTU marched to the Deputy Labour Commissioner's office in Bihar on March 14, in protest against the rampant corruption in the Labour department and demanding immediate government support for online membership for the Construction Workers Welfare Board. 

Dhananjay of AISA elected JNUSU President

The United Left Panel has emerged victorious in the JNUSU Elections held after a gap of four years on March 22. The results are a decisive mandate against the right-wing ABVP and the politics of communalism and hatred. 

A protest and pledge meeting was held in Badgaon village of Agiaon constituency of Bihar on March 18 to secure justice for Comrade Manoj Manzil and 22 other victims of the politically motivated and false case. The meeting, in which hundreds of people from the constituency condemned the motivated charges against Manoj and other comrades.

The Assam Sangrami Tea Workers Union (ASTWU) called for the repeal of the CAA and organised a protest meeting in Guwahati on 20 March.

The AICCTU state joint secretary Pankaj Kumar Das and president Jiten Tati led the protest rally which was attended by Union's State President Vivek Das, RYA state president Kunti Tanty, AICCTU State President Biren Kalita, AISA state president Subrat Talukdar and CPIML Central Committee Member Balindra Saikia.

JNUSU elections being organised after a span of four years will be held on March 22 with thousands of students participating in this democratic exercise. In spite of all attempts by ABVP to derail and manipulate the election process the JNU students clinched their democratic right after a long struggle.

Dhananjay from AISA is leading the left panel as presidential candidate with Avijit from SFI as the Vice President candidate, Swati from DSF for the post of General Secretary and Sajid from AISF for the post of Joint Secretary.

On the call of CPIML protests against the divisive and discriminatory Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) were held across the country on March 14. In Patna, a protest march was taken out by CPIML from JP Chowk to Budh Murti raising slogans against anti-people and unconstitutional CAA.
