Jamia Students Stands United in Rage against 2019 Delhi Police violence in Campus

Despite the heavy police presence and crackdown on students' resistance on December 15, hundreds of Jamia came together to remember the horror and violence unleashed by the Delhi Police on campus on this day in 2019. The Jamia administration turned off the electricity of the entire campus to dissuade students from gathering. But the march proceeded from Central Canteen to Zakir Hussain Library; i.e. the site of the 2019 Delhi Police violence and concluded at Gate no. 7. 

Across University Campuses ABVP is another name for campus violence and harassment!

On the night of 28th October, ABVP disrupted the UGBM discussion on ICC/GSCASH in JNU and just hours prior was also involved in organising an event that erupted into intoxication, vandalism, harassment and animal cruelty in Ambedkar University Delhi's Kashmere Gate Campus. In both these campuses ABVP has had a long history of violence and standing as a wall against the cause of gender justice.

AISA Demands Revocation of Suspension Order Issued Against BHU Students

In a statement issued on October 3, 2024, AISA condemned the unilateral suspension of 13 students at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU). These students are among those who dared to demand justice for the IIT-BHU gang-rape survivor. This is nothing, but an attempt to crush dissent and silence those who raised their voice for gender justice. The perpetrators, linked with the BJP, are roaming free and campaigning for their party, whereas those who protested for women’s safety are being shamefully castigated by the BHU administration.

March Against Fascism in JNU

The All-India Students’ Association (AISA) organised a Anti-Fascist march at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on the night of September 28, commemorating the 117th birth anniversary of revolutionary Bhagat Singh and the 33rd martyrdom of Shankar Guha Niyogi. The march drew a diverse crowd of students, activists, and supporters, united in their demand to stand against fascism and protect the rights of marginalised communities. 

Yogi Government's New Digital Media Policy

The All India Students' Association (AISA) in a statement on September 2, 2024 strongly condemned the newly announced Digital Media Policy by the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government. This policy, which offers social media influencers up to ₹8 lakh per month to promote government schemes, is a direct and dangerous assault on freedom of speech. Under the guise of promoting welfare schemes, this policy seeks to control the narrative on digital platforms, silencing any dissent against the ruling party.

AISA – RYA Workshop at Vijayawada


AISA – RYA State level workshop was held on 23 August, 2024 at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. State President Vemanna, State Secretary Nagaraju, State Leaders Anil, Nagarjuna, Sarayu, Devi, K Nageswara Rao, Lova Kumar were part of the Presidium.

The CPIML State Secretary B Bangarrao delivered the inaugural speech and emphasised on countering the communal forces under the BJP in the state should be nipped in the bud.

Stand with JNU Students’ Hunger Strike and Their Demands

It has been eight days since the JNU Students’ Union (JNUSU) has been on an indefinite hunger strike, with many students fasting for a better and inclusive campus. Notably, JNU is a university of excellence in the country and has a vibrant student democracy, which has stood the test of time thanks to its students and student organisations, who have fought tooth and nail to preserve the inclusive and accessible nature of their campus, against the slew of assault by the university administration and BJP led Union government.

AISA’s Parliament March Against NTA, Demands Resignation of Education Minister

The All India Students' Association (AISA) gave a call for Parliament March Against NTA on August 9, demanding accountability from the NDA Government at the Centre on the recent corruption in NEET, NET and other competitive exams! This institutionalised corruption in national level exams on a continual basis has hampered the academic prospects of lakhs of students. AISA demanded the resignation of Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan and a complete scrapping of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
