Protest Demonstration

Guru Ghasidas Sewadar Sangh organized a rally and protest meeting to demand action against the killing of Savana Bai Dhruv (62) in village Ghatouli, Lormi Thana, District Mungeli. A memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister was submitted to the Tahsildar. The meeting was addressed by CPIML State Secretary Brijendra Tiwari as well as AAP, BSP, and farmers' organization leaders. The meeting was conducted by GGSS leader Lakhan Subodh.

Left parties supported the call by farmers' organizations to observe 26 June as Save Farming-Save Democracy Day and organized protests across states for repeal of the 3 black farm laws, guarantee of MSP Act, withdrawal of Electricity Bill 2020 and other demands to mark Emergency Day, kisan leader Swami Sahajananda Saraswati’s death anniversary, and completion of 7 months of farmers’ protests at the Delhi borders. The protests resounded with the slogan ‘Save Farming, Save Democracy’.

AIPWA and AISA organized protests across Uttar Pradesh on 24 June against the increasing number of heinous incidents of rape, murder and suicide of women and minor girls.

Under the fortnight-long campaign called against exorbitant price hike in petrol, diesel, cooking gas and essential commodities, left parties organized protests on 30 June 2021.

The District level protests were organized in Bihar against spiralling prices of petrol, diesel and food items.

CPIML organized statewide protests on 3 June against the Bihar government’s arbitrary decision to dissolve Panchayats and carry on the work of Panchayati Raj through an Advisory Committee, instead of extending their tenure by 6 months through an ordinance. The party protested against this undemocratic step from the Party office and other places in Patna and various Districts.

In response to the call given by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) and trade unions to observe 26 May 2021 as Black Day for Indian Democracy, All India Kisan Mahasabha, AICCTU and CPIML organized protests across all the states.

Responding to the call given by various people's organizations and opposition parties, thousands of people across Uttarakhand are raising their voice. A protest dharna from homes was organized from 11 am to 12 pm on 8 May 2021 with the slogan, "Each and every patient is the government's responsibility! Either provide treatment for the sick, or resign from power!"

CPIML organized Demand Day across Bihar on 28 April 2021 on the following issues: guarantee oxygen beds for all Covid patients; reserve 50% beds for Covid patients in all government and private hospitals in Patna; arrange 500 beds and 100 ventilators in District hospitals; set up temporary hospitals and appoint doctors and other health workers without delay or make alternative arrangements; speed up Covid testing.

CPIML organized statewide protests across Uttar Pradesh on 25 April against the government's failure to curb Covid deaths. The protests were held between 12 noon and 1 pm at houses, party offices and work places while observing Covid protocol. Protesters held placards with slogans and demands, posted pictures and videos on social media, and memorandums were sent via email from many Districts to the government.
