Bhagalpur: Brutal Police Killing of Government Employee

 

CPIML and RJD jointly organized a protest on 30 March at Ghanta Chowk in Bhagalpur against the brutal beating to death of Irrigation department employee Sanjay Kumar by the police at Barari Thana. Mahagathbandhan activists protested by burning Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's effigy and raising slogans against the brutal killing and demanding the repeal of the Bihar Special Armed Police Bill 2021.

Dhikkar Diwas Observed in Bihar: MLAs Brutally Beaten Inside Assembly, Police Raj Act Forcibly Passed

 

The first use of the Bihar Special Armed Police Bill 2021 was perpetrated inside the Bihar Assembly itself on 23 March 2021.

Shattering all rules and traditions of the constitutional and parliamentary system, police and goons entered the Assembly, brutally beat up opposition MLAs and pushed them out, after which BJP-JDU passed the draconian Bihar Special Armed Police Bill 2021 changing Bihar into a Police Raj.

Protest in Udaipur against Petrol-Diesel Price Hike

 

AIPWA and AICCTU organized a joint protest on 4 March 2021 at the District Collector's office against the exorbitant hike in petrol-diesel prices. As a result of the BJP central government's anti-people policies unemployment is currently at a record high, trades and businesses stand devastated, and the economy is on its death bed. Farmers of the country have been struggling for the last three months against the 3 farm laws which hand over the country's agriculture to capitalists and corporate houses.

Protests in Uttar Pradesh against Price Rise

 

CPIML organized protests across Uttar Pradesh against spiralling prices, hike in petrol-diesel prices, and the Yogi government's Budget. Addressing the protest in Banaras State Secretary Sudhakar Yadav said that the Modi government has burdened the common people by hiking petrol-diesel prices exorbitantly. The Yogi government Budget makes no arrangement for the poor in MNREGA, education or health. The entire Budget is dedicated to corporate companies.

CPIML MLAs Propose Resolution Against Farm Laws in Bihar Assembly


CPIML Legislative Party leader Mahboob Alam said on 19 February 2021 that the Governor's address in the Bihar Assembly was directionless and a pack of falsehoods. The government is boasting about the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Scheme across Bihar but a veil of secrecy has been thrown over the number of poor people displaced in the name of this scheme.vThe Governor's address did not even touch upon housing rights for the poor.

Release Labour Activists Nodeep Kaur and Shiv Kumar


On 15 February, the All India Students' Association and All India Progressive Women's Association held protest demonstration at Haryana Bhavan in Delhi, demanding immediate release of labour activists Nodeep Kaur and Shiv Kumar. It has been about a month since Nodeep and Shiv were arrested by Haryana Police on fabricated charges for mobilizing workers in Kundli Industrial Area and standing with farmer movement. Nodeep's friends and family have informed of violence and sexual harassment in custody.
