In a press conference held in Patna on June 8, CPIML General Secretary Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya said that the mandate of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is against the Modi government and its anti-people policies. The mandate also is a call to strengthen the battle in defence of the Constitution and democracy. Modi's big claim of crossing 400 has fallen flat on its face with states like Uttar Pradesh giving a severe blow to the BJP.
The CPI(ML) general secretary further said INDIA alliance is determined to carry forward this mandate to defend India’s syncretic ethos and country’s democratic and constitutional values against the fascist onslaught.
Speaking about the election result in Bihar, Com. Dipankar added that CPIML won two Lok Sabha seat – Arrah and Karakat. CPIML also won the Agiaon Bye-Assembly Election. He further noted that the Mahagathbandhan alliance could have performed better and it was expected to achieve at least 20 seats overall in Bihar. The lack of performance by the Mahagathbandhan alliance requires a serious review to ensure strengthening our struggle.
Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya along with party state secretary Kunal, Dhirendra Jha, newly elected MP Rajaram Singh, Sudama Prasad, CPIML MLA Sandeep Saurabh, newly elected MLA Shiv Prakash Ranjan were also present.
