CPIML Politburo Member Dhirendra Jha, addressing the press conference on 26 September, said that raids on CPIML district and block offices in Darbhanga are the result of police panic. The demolition campaign against of poor, despite government instruction against such move shows BJP mentality of administration. Police stations are connected to land mafia and liquor mafia. In dozens of villages next to the Bahadurpur police station police station, such illegal businesses are rampant under the supervision of police. Bahadurpur police station incharge has been transferred three times on administrative basis but under the protection of senior police officers his transfer had been withdrawn.
Dhirendra Jha further said taking bride for investigating of the case has become the permanent culture of this police station. CPIML had been continuously agitating against this corrupt police system and that is why police is targeting the party.
Speaking at the press conference, CPIML District Secretary Baidyanath Yadav said that CPIML will intensify the movement against increasing police suppression in the district on Dalits, poor, minorities and on the party. A delegation of CPIML MLAs will soon meet Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister and will demand a complete change in Darbhanga police department.
Earlier on 25 September district wide protests were held against the raids on CPIML offices and filing of false against party leaders.
