A Kisan Samwad Yatra (for dialogue with farmers) began at 2 pm on 1 September 2022 from the Swami Sahajananda Park in Patna with garlanding of Swami Sahajananda's statue and a meeting attended by leaders including KD Yadav and former MLA Comrade Manju.
Addressing the meeting, AIKM General Secretary Rajaram Singh apprised the objective of the kisan yatra would cover the 8 Districts in the Son canal area and would make the following demands: legal guarantee of MSP and government procurement; guarantee of food security; modernization of the Son River canals and guarantee that the water reaches the lower regions. The government wants to make a corporate deal even on hunger now, and Adani is building godowns in Bihar to store grains and earn profits. Farmers will give a resounding reply to this loot. A Kisan Mahapanchayat will be organized at Vikramganj in Rohtas District on 23 September and the AIKM national conference will be held on 24 September to decide further strategies. The Kisan Samwad Yatra was led by leaders including Rajaram Singh, Shiv Sagar Sharma, Arun Singh, Sudama Prasad and others. It covered 8 Districts including Patna, Arwal, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Kaimur, Buxar and culminated in Bhojpur on 9 September.
