CPIML General Secretary Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya met with Jharkhand Chief Minister and JMM Executive President Shri Hemant Soren at his residence in Ranchi on 11 September 2022. Accompanying Comrade Dipankar were CPIML MLA Vinod Singh and Jharkhand State Secretary Manoj Bhakt. The talks were focussed on drought, MNREGA wages, roll back of the Netarhat field firing range, strengthening forest rights, rations and other topics. The BJP's conspiracy to engineer a political crisis through the Raj Bhavan was also discussed, as was the need to fight unitedly against the Modi government's abuse of constitutional institutions and constant attacks on activists and opposition leaders. The Chief Minister spoke of taking positive initiatives on the various burning and fundamental issues in the state. The need for JMM and Left parties to work together against the anti-people measures of the Modi government was also stressed.
