Bahadur Singh Jangi Files Nomination

CPIML leader Bahadur Singh Jangi filed his nomination from the Lalkuan Assembly constituency in Uttarakhand on 21 January 2022 as joint candidate of the left parties. Speaking on the occasion, CPIML Uttarakhand Secretary Raja Bahuguna said that the need of the hour for Uttarakhand is to defeat the BJP and build an effective Left opposition because Uttarakhand is also suffering from the destruction inflicted across the country by double-engine BJP governments. It has become the prime responsibility of the people of state to teach a befitting lesson to the BJP which has failed on both fronts. After the formation of Uttarakhand State, for the past 21 years the BJP and Congress governments have only propagated the politics of loot, but during the last 5 years the BJP government, that changed Chief Ministers as many as three times, has crossed all limits of loot and cheating. The electoral promises of 5 years ago remain unfulfilled and new election promises have been declared. What is this if not a cruel joke against the common people?

Comrade Bahuguna said that the joint Left slogan for the Assembly elections 2022 is: Defeat BJP, Build Left Opposition. Since the formation of Uttarakhand, an effective Opposition has been conspicuous by its absence. It is necessary that the voice of the oppressed and the working class be heard inside the Assembly. Therefore CPIML has declared the candidature from Lalkuan of senior revolutionary leader and veteran soldier Comrade Bahadur Singh Jangi who has always fought for people's rights through people's struggles, electing whom will resolve the state's long-pending issues.

Making his priorities clear after filing his nomination papers, Bahadur Singh Jangi said that if elected to the Assembly the people of Lalkuan will never be disappointed and his priority would be to resolve the issues facing Lalkuan constituency.
