The killing of 45 year old RTI activist in broad daylight on 24 September at Harisiddhi (Eastern Champaran) proves that law and order have vanished from Bihar. CPIML said that so far more than 20 RTI activists have been killed in Bihar clearly the BJP-JDU government is under the thumb of criminals protected by the ruling powers.
A District level CPIML fact-finding team visited the victim's home. The team comprised District Secretary Prabhudev Yadav, District Committee member Bhagyanarayan Chaudhury, Shambhulal Rai and Rajesh Kumar. They spoke with Vipin Agarwal's younger brother Rakesh Agarwal and got detailed information on the incident. CPIML has demanded proper compensation for the victim family and security with immediate effect.
