A Jan Samvad (conversation with people) was organized on 6 February at the Chhatia Pokhra complex in Dumraon. Dumraon MLA Ajit Kumar Singh was present at the program where he was apprised of issues facing the people. Hundreds of people brought their problems which the MLA heard and discussed one by one. Many of the issues were related to ration card applications, construction projects for roads and drainage, crematorium fencing, housing, school access roads, bus stand and Dumraon bypass construction, and construction of a state high school stadium.
The MLA received applications for wage raise and regularization of workers like vikas sewak, toli mitra, talimi markaz and rasoiya workers. He said that the issues which could be resolved on the spot would be done so, while the others would be raised inside the Assembly. If required protests on the street would be organized. A total of 65 applications were received at the Jan Samvad which was also attended by many block level leaders.
Paliganj and Phulwari MLAs Sandeep Saurav and Gopal Ravidas have also held Jan Samvad programs.
