Noted anti-caste activist, Prof Hany Babu of Delhi University has been arrested by NIA in Maharashtra in the Bhima Koregaon Elgar Parishad case. CPIML demands from the Modi Government to immediately end repression against political activists and release Prof. Hany Babu and all political prisioners. DU academic Prof. Hany Babu is a consistent voice against caste oppression and discrimination.
CPIML General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya has said in a statement that in both Bhima Koregaon and Delhi Riots cases, the perpetrators of violence have been left scot free, and the cases have been turned upside down to frame noted academics, writers and activists as the accused. It's a raging war on justice. Bhima Koregaon case has become a conspiracy against fighters for social justice and human rights, while Delhi Riots case is being weaponised against anti-CAA activists and defenders of the Constitution. The Modi government using the lockdown will never succeed in stifling protests and this government's all such calculations will be proved wrong.
