CPIML and Insaf Manch have been conducting relief work in Muzaffarpur for the past many days. The situation of government relief work is such that the Muzaffarpur SDO sent a list of 33 families to Insaf Manch activists and requested help for relief. These are workers from other States who are stranded here due to the Lockdown. These workers work in a factory located at Bela in the city and their factory has been closed down because of the Lockdown.
So far Insaf Manch comrades have distributed relief material to 500 families. Each family is being given a packet containing 5 kg rice, 500 gms dal, 2 kg potatoes, 1 kg onions, 250 gms oil, salt, and a cake of soap. Before distribution, a list of the needy is prepared and then Insaf Manch comrades go and deliver the packets. The relief work is expected to continue in the time to come also, as many people are coming forward with contributions in the form of financial assistance, rice, atta etc.
