CPIML held a protest on 9 March 2020 at Angardhat Chowk against the arrest of CPIML activists Mahavir Poddar (Block Secretary), Baijnath Mahto, Mohd Adil (Bablu), and Mohd Rafiq and slapping of false cases 242/17 and 327/17 against them. The activists burnt effigies of Dalsinghrai DSP Kundan Kumar and Inspector Dharmapal and demanded withdrawal of the false cases and immediate release of the arrested leaders. The protesters were led by Dileep Kumar Rai, Ganga Paswan (AISA), Mohd Kamaluddin (RYA), Vipin Paswan, CPIML District Committee member Phulendra Prasad Singh, Satyanarayan Mahto, Sadeem Mansuri, Kalpu Sada, Kundan Kumar, Satyam Kumar, Abhishek Kumar and others.
CPIML District Secretary Prof Umesh Kumar told that the Ujiyarpur police is willfully arresting and throwing into jail CPIML leaders who are fighting for the rights of dalits and the poor but the fight for justice against the government’s repression and atrocities will go on. He said that CPIML would organize a march on 14 March and gherao the Superintendent of Police.
