ON hearing of complaints of eviction of the poor and illegal grabbing of public land by dominant forces in the Northern belt of Gadhani, a CPIML fact-finding team comprising CC member Manoj Manzil and Gadhani Secretary and State Committee member Navin Kumar reached the spot along with people of the area.
After talking with the people in the village the team learned that for the past 60-70 years the people of the village have been using the said land for common use. Their children play in one part of the land and the waste water from the homes of the poor also drain out into that land.
The villagers told the team that 10 days earlier, BJP member Chanchal Singh declared that this Bihar government land is now belongs to him. When the people complained, the Zonal Officer asked Chanchal Singh to show documents but he could not show the documents. The demand of the people is that the land should be allowed for their children to play and their waste water to drain, and a community hall should be built on a part of the land. Manoj Manzil said that the government land for public use by dalits, poor, backwards and Muslims would not be allowed to be illegally grabbed by Chanchal Singh. CPIML stands solidly with the people in their just aspirations and democratic rights.
