NOTORIOUS criminal Mohan Yadav perpetrated a lethal attack and shot CPIML Gaya District Committee member Comrade Ashok Manjhi at his village Amva. The bullet pierced Comrade Ashok Manjhi’s thigh and he is out of danger at present. He is admitted in the Emergency ward at Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Hospital and the doctors are preparing to operate to remove the bullet.
The local people have caught the perpetrator and handed him over to the police. The District Committee has strongly condemned the attack and demanded punishment without delay for the guilty. Protest against the incident was organized on 2 December 2019 at Bodhgaya and other Blocks.
Ashok Manjhi’s wife Rajanti Devi has won the Councilor’s election from Ward No. 3 in the Bodh Nagar Panchayat. This is what the local feudal criminal elements are unable to digest. It should be noted that at around 7 am on 1 December Mohan Yadav’s brother Ramu Yadav called Ashok Manjhi to his home for some Panchayat issue and abused him there. On the way back home Mohan Yadav attacked and shot him at about 7.45 am.
