BIHAR Rajya Rasoiya Sangh (Bihar State Rasoiya Association) organized its first Darbhanga District conference on 13 October 2019 at the Laheriyasarai Adarsh Middle School. Inaugurating the conference, All India Scheme Workers Federation National Convener and Bihar State ASHA Karyakarta Sangh President Shashi Yadav said that the Modi-Nitish governments make tall claims of women empowerment but they are treating Rasoiyas, ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers as bonded labour, giving them neither proper wages nor due dignity. Bihar Rajya Rasoiya Sangh President Saroj Chaubey said that Rasoiyas must sharpen and strengthen their struggle against the government’s insensitivity and negligence. She asserted that the Rasoiya Sangh would join with full strength in the joint Trade Union workers’ strike called for 8 January 2020. She appealed to Rasoiyas to ensure the success of the Rasoiya Sangh’s Bihar State conference to be held on 20 October. AICCTU Darbhanga Secretary Mithileshwar Singh said that workers would unite and give a befitting reply to the Modi government’s anti-worker policies.
The conference was also addressed by CPIML leader Abhishek Kumar, Construction Workers Union Secretary Ram Narayan Paswan, ASHA Karyakarta Sangh leader Umesh Shah, AIPWA District Secretary Shanichari Devi, and others. The Conference elected Pappu Paswan as honorary President, Surendra Paswan as President and Santra Devi as District Secretary.
