THE CPIML is organizing an Adivasi Rights and Justice Yatra in three Districts—Sonbhadra, Mirzapur and Chandauli—against the Umbha Adivasi massacre in Sonbhadra and to focus on the issue of land and the rights of the victim families and all adivasis and poor in the region.
The Yatra started on 9 August 2019 from Umbha village in Sonbhadra and is presently passing through villages in Mirzapur. Party State Committee members and activists in the region are participating in the Yatra on motorcycles. A leaflet has been published to campaign for the Yatra. After traversing through these three Districts throughout the month of August, the Yatra will reach Sonbhadra District HQ at Robertsganj on 7 September 2019 where it will culminate in a mass protest addressed by CPIML General Secretary Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya.
