THE 2nd Insaf Manch Bihar State conference commenced from 1 pm on 2 March 2019 at Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Park in Siwan. The conference began with garlanding at the memorials of Dr BR Ambedkar and martyr Comrade Chandrashekhar Prasad. The inauguration of the conference was done by CPIML General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya. Bihar State Secretary Kunal, CPIML CC member Santosh Sahar, and PB member Dhirendra Jha attended the Conference. A 7-member Presidium presided over the conference which was conducted by Comrade Naeemuddin Ansari. The conference was attended by a large number of people, including thousands of women, men, and justice-loving people of Siwan and other parts of Bihar. The conference concluded with the election of a State Executive Council with Naeemuddin Ansari as the Honorary President, Suraj Kumar Singh as the President, Qayamuddin Ansari as Secretary.
Political Resolutions Passed at the Conference on 2 March 2019 :
1. This Insaf Manch conference demands a high level enquiry into the riots in Beguserai, Samastipur, Chhapra, Sitamarhi, Madhepura and Arariya which resulted in heavy loss of life and property to minorities, and also demands arrest and guarantee of punishment to BJOP-Sangh Parivar goons involved in these riots. The conference also demands proper compensation to all the members of the minority affected by the riots, and strict action against the District officials, SP, and all other guilty officials who failed to stop the riots.
2. The conference expressed grave concern at the increasing number of mob lynching incidents in Bihar under the Nitish-Modi rule. The conference demands guarantee of strict action against the guilty persons in the lynching of Kabul Miyan (Arariya), Zainul Ansari (Sitamarhi) and the Biharsharif mob lynching incident.
3. The conference strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Pulwama and also strongly condemns the shameful attempts of the Modi government and BJP to use the terror attack as an excuse to push the country on to the path of violence, hatred, and war. This conference demands that all the CRPF jawans martyred at Pulwama should be given the status of martyrs and their shut down pension scheme should be reinstated.
4. This conference strongly supports the women’s strike to be organized on 8 March (International Women’s Day) to demand the inclusion of the names of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP Minister Suresh Sharma in the ambit of the CBI enquiry being held into the Muzaffarpur shelter home case.
5. This conference opposes war in India as well as Pakistan and vigorously welcomes the campaign calling for peace and brotherhood, and appeals for rejection of all warmongering attempts.
