FOR the past one month, para teachers have been protesting at various places in Jharkhand. A protesting para teacher died from cold while protesting at Dumka in front of the house of Welfare Minister and BJP MLA Louise Marandi. Delegates from across the country at the Revolutionary Youth Association National Congress in Varanasi (15-16 December 2018) expressed condolences for the death of the para teachers and observed 2 minutes’ silence. They said that the Jharkhand government is heaping injustices on the para teachers and remains uncaring about their just demands. For the past one month, the studies of lakhs of children in Jharkhand have been affected, but the Jharkhand government is least bothered. They said that if the Jharkhand government does not take timely action and fulfill the para teachers’ demands, the people of Jharkhand will give a befitting reply in the coming elections and throw out this government which is responsible for the para teacher’s death.
The CPI(ML) organized a protest march in Bagodar and burnt the effigy of dictatorial Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
