A Sankalp Sabha was organized at Gadhani in Bhojpur to mark the 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Comrades Jauhar, Nirmal and Ratan. The chief speaker on the occasion CPI(ML) PB member Swadesh Bhattacharya said that today when the Modi government is being questioned from all sides on issues like employment and livelihood, land for the poor and the landless, alleviation from farming losses, inflation and price rise, oppression of dalits, Muslims and women, they are trying to divert these issues by trying to whip up a communal frenzy through the Ram Mandir issue. The people of India will not allow such an unholy conspiracy to succeed.
He said that the powers that be cannot stop revolutionary thoughts and struggles. Nitish Kumar had claimed that he would give wings for ‘Betis’ (daughters) to fly, and Modi had hyped the slogan ‘Beti Bachao Beti padhao’. Their hollow claims and their anti-woman character has been exposed by the horrors of the Muzaffarpur and Deoria shelters and the Unnao and Kathua rape incidents where they are actually protecting the rapists and murderers. The Modi government unleashed lathi charges on youth demanding employment and bullets on farmers demanding proper prices for their produce. In the coming 2019 Lok Sabha elections the youth, farmers, women, poor, dalits, and minorities will give a befitting reply to these atrocities.
The Sankalp Sabha was also addressed by CPI(ML) Agiaon in-charge Raghubar Paswan and other leaders.
