ON 4 November 2018, CPI(ML) organised a protest march demanding immediate arrest of a rape accused in Jamua. The protest march was followed by a protest meeting that was conducted Com. Asgar Ali. Party leader Com. Ashok Paswan said that women and girls were feeling most unsafe today under the BJP. The BJP came to power with one of it's slogan being safety for women, today is being recognized for protecting rape accused and taking out marches to shield and defend them. In the present rape case, for 4 days the complaint remained unattended and the local BJP leaders tried their best to hush the matter. The party demanded that BJP legislature Kedar Hazra offer his unconditional resignation on moral grounds and demanded that the rape accused Nitish Hajra be arrested without any further delay. Jamua block CPI(ML) secretary Vijay Pandey, AIPWA leader Meena Das led the protest.
