Rs 3.5 lakhs are due as arrears to MNREGA workers. The CPI(ML) and AIARLA will fight a decisive battle for payment of arrears and proper wages to MNREGA workers. About 100 workers in Karbasin village had worked under the MNREGA scheme in 2017 to build 1 ‘Aahar’ and 3 ‘Karaahas’ but have not been paid for their labour yet.
The workers from Kachahari Tola and Satyawada Tola in Karbasin village, Karbasin Panchayat, Bhojpur District, Bihar have applied to the Mukhiya several times for their wages but the Mukhiya has taken no steps to see that these workers receive the wages due to them. A meeting was held under the leadership of the CPI(ML) and a decision was taken to ensure that the wages along with interest were paid to the workers.
