CPI(ML) in Andhra Pradesh and its front organization launched ‘Jana Jagarana Yathra’ in villages and Mandals. Exposing the Modi’s fascist rule and Telegu Desam Part’s Chandra Babu Naidu’s pro-corporate anti-poor polices the party went door to door and interacted with people on a massive scale.
The Jana Jagarana Yatra covered 16013 families, 67 villages / wards in 31 Mandals in East Godavari, Krishana, Gunturu, Srikakulam districts. In the campaign volunteers explained the people how the Modi and Chandrababu governments deceived the people in country and state.
On October 1 the Party conducted a condolence meeting in memory of Com. P.K.Sankara at Anakapalli. Com. B. Bangarao, state Secretary presided over the meeting. Com. N. Murthi remembered Com. P.K. Sankara and his selfless services to the left movement in the area. Comrade Tamada Aruna, State President of AIPWA, Com. Harinath, State President Kisan Mahasabha also addressed the gathering. Comrade P.K. Sankara’s son, who is working since 1991 among agricultural workers, Adivasis in the Vishakhapatnam district joined the CPI(ML). Hundreds of people from across the district participated in this program. After the meeting a rally was held in the town of Anakapalli.
In Vishakhapatnam district, on 9 October, a meeting was conducted in Gudivada village of Chedikada Mandal part of JJY national campaign. 100 Adivasi people participated from villages of Gunti, Kondala Kothuru, Gudivada, Jajulapalem and Vaakapalli habitations.
