The CPI(ML) strongly condemns Israel’s brazen violation of the ceasefire in Gaza and the launch of yet another wave of genocidal violence against the Palestinian people. For months, and in reality, for decades, Israel has waged a relentless war of occupation, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people. This mass killing underscores the sheer brutality of Israel’s war machine, which operates with complete impunity under the US protection. The latest escalation is not an isolated event but part of an ongoing Zionist project to erase Palestine.
On Tuesday itself, Israel massacred more than 400 people in just 12 hours, unleashing an intensified wave of indiscriminate bombardment on Gaza. This new wave of genocide began with Israel cutting off electricity and halting humanitarian aid, pushing Gaza’s already devastated population further into darkness, starvation, and death. Hospitals have run out of fuel and medical supplies, and children are dying from hunger and dehydration.
Emboldened by the unwavering support of US imperialism—particularly under the far-right influence of Donald Trump—Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is massacring Palestinians in Gaza for his own political survival. Facing corruption charges and growing domestic opposition, Netanyahu has turned Gaza into a killing field to rally Israel’s far-right settler movement and ultra-nationalist allies. His government has openly declared its goal of making Gaza "uninhabitable," carrying out systematic massacres, forced displacement, and mass starvation in what amounts to a textbook case of genocide.
The scale of destruction is staggering. Around 50,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been slaughtered. Thousands remain buried under the rubble. Today 90% of Gaza’s total population—have been forcibly displaced from their homes. Entire neighbourhoods have been reduced to dust, hospitals and schools systematically targeted, and Israel has deliberately blocked food, water, and medical aid, pushing Gaza into an unparalleled humanitarian catastrophe.
Netanyahu from the beginning was attempting to dismantle the ceasefire, ensuring that the killing, starvation, and displacement of Palestinians would continue unchecked. This aligns perfectly with the plans of Donald Trump and his far-right allies, who have openly pushed for the mass expulsion of Gazans. The Trump-Netanyahu alliance is not just about war—it is about the complete erasure of Palestine. The United States and its allies remain deeply complicit in this genocide.
We call upon all justice-loving and progressive forces across the world to intensify the global movement to stop Israel’s genocide in Palestine. India must immediately cut all military and economic ties with Israel and demand an end to this massacre. The Indian people, who have historically stood in solidarity with Palestine, must reject the Modi regime’s growing alliance with the Zionist apartheid state.
