On May 1, AIPWA organised a protest at Patna’s Buddha Smriti against the incident of mass sexual exploitation by JD(S) leader and candidate Prajwal Revanna in Karnataka. Hundreds of women joined the protest and demanded immediate arrest of accused.
Condemning the utter silence of PM Modi, who at every election rally chants about Nari Shakti, AIPWA State Secretary Anita Sinha said that BJP top brass knew about the accusations against Prajwal Revanna and yet they endorsed his candidature and PM Modi sought votes for him. The BJP today stands exposed as the worst promoter and protector of misogyny, sexual harassment and heinous crimes against India's women.
The protest called for removing the anti-women Modi regime from power. To save the country and it’s democratic ethos and freedom from fear for women, the BJP regime, which is protecting the rapists and sexual harassers like in cases of Kathua, Unnao, Hathras, Women Wrestles, Manipur and Bilkis Bano etc., must be thrown out.
