Revolutionary Youth Association (RYA) has demanded withdrawal of recent Jharkhand High Court order banning state government’s Employment Rules 2021 and withholding examination calendar for competitive exams in the current year. This will affect lakhs of Jharkhandi youth preparing for these exams.
The RYA held statewide protests on 21 December demanding all exams to be held as per the declared schedule, to implement state’s Employment policy for the year 2022 and to fill all 3.5 lakh vacant posts in government departments immediately. There was no Employment Policy in the state since its inception 22 years ago. The Jharkhand Assembly unanimously passed an employment policy last year, 2022, but that could not be implemented due to obstructions created by the center's Modi government.
RYA state president Sandip Jaiswal has asked the Jharkhand government to find a way out to resolve this issue.
Protests were held in many district and block headquarters on 21 December. Later a five-member committee appointed by the state Assembly assured to hold the Exams as well as to bring out a new Employment Policy within three weeks.
