BJP Leaders Inflaming Communal Passions in Bihar

Union Minister Behind Increasing Incidents of Violence and Crime in Mithilanchal: Dhirendra Jha

CPIML Politburo member and Mithilanchal in-charge Dhirendra Jha said on 3 March 2022 that Mithila has always been the land of peace and brotherhood. However, the area has now become disturbed due to BJP politics and the protection being given by Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai to fanatics, land mafia and criminals.

He said that many incidents of mob lynching have been perpetrated as a result of the BJP’s inflammatory ‘Mithila module’. Several incidents of heinous crime have taken place at many places and heart-wrenching incidents of rape and murder have come to the fore in Vaishali, Morba, Darbhanga, Madhubani and other Districts.

Nityanand Rai should be removed immediately from the post of Minister of State for Home. Mithila has not benefited in any way from his becoming a minister at the Centre. Ashoka Paper Mill is lying closed. Rameshwar Jute Mill is locked and all sugar mills are closed. The Barauni fertilizer factory has also not been started.

Bihar was still grappling with the mob lynching that took place in Adharpur when again recently Khaleel Razvi was lynched to death by a mob but no statement has come from BJP leaders. In Darbhanga the land mafia in cahoots with the police burnt alive a whole family but no leader of BJP came forward to take any initiative in the matter. The SSP and ADM continue in their posts even today. The Minister has no work other than to sow the poison of crime and communalism in the politics of Mithilanchal.

Moreover, the anti-dalit criminals who perpetrated the Madhubani massacre, BJP MLA from Bisfi is openly indulging in anti-constitutional rhetoric against the minorities, threatening the peace and harmony of the area. His membership should be revoked forthwith as he has made such statements inside the Assembly premises.

MP Giriraj Singh’s Inflammatory and Riot-inciting Statements Beguserai

CPIML Bihar Secretary Kunal said in a statement on 20 March 2022 that after Samastipur it was Beguserai where the BJP-RSS is trying to inflame communal passions and the mastermind is none other than local MP Giriraj Singh. Comrade Kunal appealed to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to rein in such inflammatory forces without delay; otherwise Bihar will be charred irretrievably in the flames of hatred and violence.

Comrade Kunal appealed to the common people to maintain peace and harmony in society and foil all attempts by the BJP-RSS to incite riots. He demanded that the government and administration should arrest all the guilty persons without delay.

The violence against minorities in Rajauda, Beguserai is part of a well-calculated plan. On 20 March a CPIML team led by District Secretary Diwakar Kumar and comprising Chandradev Verma, Baiju Singh, Deepak Sinha, Rajesh Shrivastava, Mohd Izrafil, Mohd Fahim, Nurul Islam Jimmy, Sonu Farnaz and Mohit Mogan reached Rajauda to find the facts of the matter and spoke with local people to get details of the incident.

The enquiry team said that the District administration should immediately register a case against MP Giriraj Singh and arrest him for making inflammatory and riot-inciting statements, and the facilitators of the communal incident Niraj Kumar Singh (Gandhi) and Tuntun Singh should also be arrested without delay.

Abduction of a Child and Attack by RSS Goons

On 12 March a child aged around 11 years, Mohd Chand, was drinking water at the hand pump. Two children got into a fight over this. The issue ended after the intervention of elders, but BJP-RSS people in a calculated plan caught the same child Mohd Chand on the evening of 18 March (Holika Dahan). Niraj Singh (Gandhi) beat him and tied him up. Getting news of this, the local Mukhiya and Sarpanch, who come from the minority community, reached the place but they were also beaten up. They left the place, not wishing to escalate the matter. The child remained captive in the hands of Niraj Singh. Later at night the police took away the child.

On 19 March BJP MP and Union Minister Giriraj Singh went to Rajauda and made an inflammatory statement inciting communal forces. As soon as he left, communal elements led by Niraj Singh and Tuntun Singh perpetrated a lethal attack on Mohd Chand's father Mahfooz (a tailor) during which a dozen people were injured.

The dispute became renewed because of Giriraj Singh's statement. So far 12 people have been injured. The administration should immediately bring the situation under control.
