A tragic incident unfolded at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vasant Vihar, where a Class 6 student, Prince, reportedly passed away on school premises. Prince hailed from a Dalit family residing in Kusumpur Pahadi, a nearby slum.
While the school administration and police have been trying to hide facts from the parent of the victim, suspicion runs high among Kusumpur Pahadi residents who have alleged that Prince has died in commotion inside the school. The child's body has been handed over to his family, and the incident has sparked outrage in the local community.
A large group of Kusumpur Pahadi residents gathered outside the school, demanding a thorough investigation into the matter. Protesters are calling for the principal to be held accountable.
Authorities are yet to confirm the cause of death or provide further details about the incident. The police and school administration had been misleading the family of the victim throughout the day, that filing a simple complaint from the father of victim took an entire day.and it is only after intervention by AICCTU activists and presence of JNUSU President that the complaint was received at Vasant Vihar police station.
