Young India Rally Feb 28

Young India’s clarion call for 2024 elections!

On February 28, under the banner of Young India, students and youth from all over the country gathered at Delhi’s Surjeet Bhavan to declare the Young India charter. Despite the authoritarian diktats of the Delhi Police, Young India rallied in Delhi and rose against the politics of hate.

At the public meeting, Sandeep Saurav, CPIML MLA from Bihar said, "Young India is raising voice for education, employment and social justice while the government is busy in horse-trading and EVM hacking. This government has exposed itself in front of the people!". Gopal Rai, Cabinet Minister in Delhi Government said, "if this regime continues its reign in 2024, we might not even be able to hold meetings like this. We must unite and resist this onslaught on democracy." Senior Advocate Prashant Bhushan said, "why is this government silent of MNREGA? Why is it silent on MSP? This policy of utter silence on key issues and hatemongering in society must be halted." Naval Kishore, National Spokesperson of RJD said that Bihar is showing the way to challenge the fascist attack and we hope that the country sees the way. Former DUTA President, Nandita Narain said that, "today Young India is standing up for its rights and its public institutions and we must continue this united effort to oust the fascists from power." Naveen Kumar, independent journalist said that Young India is showing the unity that BJP fears. Young people all over the country are rejecting the politics of hate. The gathering was also addressed by leaders from various organisations including AISA, SFI, MSF, AISF, PSU, RYA, AIYL among others.

The massive Young India Referendums held all across the country showed the swing of the youth. When 5 lakh people across states vote against this government, Modi is bound to be afraid and scramble to repress all voices. Be it farmers, the workers or the youth, BJP's gameplan seems to be of brutal repression and shameless horsetrading. But the people have had enough and the Young India Rally is proof.

Young India Rally ended with solidarity to the massive farmer's movement and condemns the brutal murders of protesting farmers. Student-youth will vote on education and employment!

Onwards to defeating fascist BJP-RSS in upcoming Loksabha elections! Young India Eally ends in resounding success!
