ON 20 October, CPIML Liberation held a Tamil Nadu cadre convention at Vandalur. A presidium comprising Comrades Asaithambi, Eraniappan, Balasubramanian and Chandramohan conducted the proceedings.

The Convention began with a presentation of a political and an organisational guiding note and an opening address by the TN State Secretary Comrade NK Natarajan. Following this, the Convention was addressed by CPIML PB member Comrade Kavita Krishnan, who congratulated the people of the state for their inspiring resistance to the communal-corporate fascists and the BJP. She highlighted the need to fight tendencies like Brahminical patriarchy, caste-based crimes against Dalits and inter-caste couples, and authoritarian governments which could provide space for the RSS and BJP to spread in Tamil Nadu. She said that the AIADMK Government of TN was operating like a police state and was a front for the BJP.
