Uphold the SC Verdict On Sabarimala

IT is shameful and condemnable that the BJP and RSS are seeking to attack the Left Government for upholding the Supreme Court verdict lifting the ban on the entry of little girls and women between the ages of 10-50 into the Sabarimala temple. A BJP leader - actor Kollam Thulasi - has declared that women entering Sabarimala will be “torn into two pieces.” Women journalists and students covering the Sabarimala issue are being violently attacked and prevented from even approaching the vicinity of the temple. The Kerala police is failing to act against the violent mobs.

Kisan Mahasabha Condemns Repression of Farmers Protest in Delhi

ALL India Kisan Mahasabha (AIKM) has strongly condemned the repression let loose on peaceful protesting farmers at Gazipur border in Delhi. Modi government which protects and encourages mob lynchers and fascist goons, is not able to face peaceful farmers who are forced to commit suicides burdened with debt and without proper remuneration of their produce. The farmers have been demanding remunerative prices according to C-2 plus 50% formula, guarantee of procurement of produce at this price, payment of dues to sugarcane farmers, to withdraw hike in electricity tarrifs and other demands.

CPI(ML) CC Statement: On Verdict on Bhima Koregaon arrests

A majority verdict of Supreme Court by the CJI Dipak Mishra and Justice Khanwilkar has refused to order an SIT investigation into the arrest of five human rights activists by the Maharashtra police in the Bhima Koregaon case. Instead it has directed the Pune Police to go ahead with its investigation and has ordered four more weeks of house arrest for the activists, during which they may approach lower courts for bail.
