No More Pulwama! No More War between India and Pakistan!

IN the wake of the February 14 attack on the CRPF convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Pulwama, the responsibility of which was claimed by Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammad, and yesterday’s retaliatory strike inside Pakistan by the Indian Air Force, the relations between India and Pakistan have once again reached a near-war flashpoint. The foreign secretary of Government of India described the Indian response as a 'pre-emptive' counter-terror strike; Pakistan, on the other hand, has announced its decision to retaliate with a surprise attack.

Is the CBI Shielding the Accused in Muzaffarpur Shelter-Home Case?

THE Supreme Court has punished CBI Interim Director Nageshwara Rao for contempt of court: specifically for flouting the explicit orders of the SC and transferring the CBI Investigating Officer in-charge of the Muzaffarpur Shelter-Home case in which more than 40 girls were subjected to systematic sexual assault inside a shelter home. It is well-known that prominent political leaders, close to the JDU-BJP Government in power in Bihar and the Centre, have been trying to protect the accused.

Oppose the Conspiratorial Intervention of the Modi Government in West Bengal

AHEAD of the crucial 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Modi government has launched a conspiratorial attack on West Bengal government on the pretext of a CBI probe in the Sarada scam. The growing clamour by BJP leaders for imposition of President's Rule in the state provides a clear pointer to the Modi government's ominous design against the Constitution and the federal framework. We strongly condemn this design and appeal to the democracy-loving people of West Bengal to oppose this criminal central intervention using the CBI.

He said that from the beginning the CPI(ML) had always demanded a CBI enquiry into all the shelter homes, including the Muzaffarpur home, shown by the TISS report as being in very serious condition.
