On the final day of the Bihar Legislative Assembly session, the Bihar government faced severe criticism over the question of including 65% reservation for Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the 9th Schedule of the Indian Constitution. This issue came under scrutiny following a social-economic survey. This issue gained prominence after the social-economic survey and a non-governmental resolution introduced by CPI (ML) legislator Ajit Kushwaha.

1000 days of the ITI workers Struggle: Workers resolve to take forward the fight

The struggle of the ITI workers under the banner AICCTU against their illegal termination has reached the 1000th day. On 01 December 2021, the Management of ITI Ltd. had illegally refused employment to 80 workers for the sole reason that they had unionised and sought for their legitimate rights. The workers who were thrown out have been on a day and night protest outside the ITI gate from thereon, and the protest which continues today, is perhaps one of the longest working class struggles to have taken place in Karnataka.

Justice for RG Kar: The Battle for Gender Justice Intensifies in West Bengal

As the battle for justice in the RG Kar Medical college rape and murder incident intensifies, the state of West Bengal is witnessing continuous mobilisations and protests. On September 2, 2024, a citizen's march was organised from Moulali to Dharmatala, in which hundreds of people joined calling for gender justice. CPIML General Secretary Comrade Dipankar Bhattacharya, along with several leaders and activists from students-youth, working class and women organisations, Queer and LGBTQIA+ movements and civil society groups participated in the march.

CPIML State Cadre Meet at Vijayawada


CPIML LIBERATION State level cadre meet was held at Vijayawada on 24 August 2024. Comrades Harinath, Arjun Rao and MP Ramdev presided over the meeting. A paper on the political situation in the wake of NDA in power in the state was discussed. Comrade Bangar Rao proposed a detailed plan for the state towards the mass political convention on 9 November to be addressed by the party General Secretary.

AISA – RYA Workshop at Vijayawada

The roar is getting louder and the issue of continued violence against women has once again come to the forefront. A female doctor trainee was raped and murdered on August 9 at a seminar room on the 4th floor of the emergency ward of R G Kar Medical College & Hospital in Kolkata.
