Citizens March Against War on Ukraine and for Safe Return of Indian Students

CPIML, All India Students Association along with concerned citizens and various progressive organizations of Delhi joined Peace March at Mandi House on 26th February. Protesters gathered at Mandi House, New Delhi and raised slogans against the military aggression by Russia and the US-NATO expansion in Europe. The protesters called upon the Indian government to immediately ensure the safe evacuation of all Indian citizens trapped in the crisis areas.

Lynching in Samastipur

Nitish Kumar is doing nothing but carry forward the BJP's hate-filled agenda. On 16 February Khaleel Rizvi in Samastipur district had gone to consult a doctor. When he did not return home till evening, his wife called and spoke to him. As they were talking, someone snatched away Khaleel's mobile. After that the mobile was switched off. On getting no clue, a case was registered on 17 February at the Mushrigharari Thana.

Gaya Police Brutality Condemned

Adhatpur village in Belaganj Block in Gaya became the victim of extreme brutality by the Gaya police. The residents of Adhatpur are troubled by illegal sand mining and were protesting peacefully to protect their livelihoods and their fields. The CPIML found that a few sand mafia elements were also in police uniform and were among the perpetrators of the brutality. The villagers including women showed the injury marks from the police beating. The women said that the police forcibly entered houses and beat them up.

Adivasi Sangharsh Morcha Meeting in Ranchi

The Adivasi Sangharsh Morcha (Jharkhand) organized a District level meeting in Ranchi on 27 January 2022. The meeting was presided over by Alma Khalkho, Mewa Oraon, Birsa Oraon and Mahabir Munda. Adivasi Sangharsh Morcha National Convener Devkinandan Bedia was the chief guest on the occasion. People from a large number of villages in Budhmu, Mander, Ratu, Kanke, Ormanjhi, Chano, Ranchi Sadar and other Blocks attended the meeting. The meeting began with the distribution and reading of the ‘Adhaar Patra’.
