Railway Workers in the UK Organize Three-Day National Strike

Thousands of railway workers in the United Kingdom embarked on a historic national strike on June 21, 23 and 25 against the attempts by Network Rail (that operates and develops most of Britain’s railway infrastructure) and train operating companies to cut thousands of jobs. The strike, which was organized under the banner of National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) was the biggest rail strike in last 30 years.

The judgment will have massive implications and is reflective of the rise of conservative forces across globe.

Hunger Strike by CPIML against Police Atrocities in Ranchi

CPIML organized a one-day hunger strike on 16 June 2022 in front of Bapu Vatika at Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi against the continuing repression, after the brutal incident of police firing on muslim protesters on 10 June, against minority community and innocent persons by the administration and at the behest of a Sanghi-minded Governor and the silence of the State government.

Sankalp Sabha Organized on Comrade Rameshwar Ravidas Martyrdom Day

A Sankalp Sabha (Pledge Meeting) was organized on 18 June 2022 at Surunga village in Baliarpur, Dhanbad to observe the 18th martyrdom day of late CPIML leader Comrade Rameshwar Ravidas. The meeting began with garlanding of Comrade Rameshwar's statue and 2 minutes' silence in his honour. The meeting was presided over by Nakuldev Singh and conducted by Bhojhari Mahto. Speakers addressing the meeting said that Comrade Rameshwar Ravidas was the voice of the poor and oppressed in the Baliarpur region. He fought for the coal workers.

Patna Bulldozer Victims Gherao Collector

A march was held on 8 June in front of the DM Patna office led by the CPIML City Committee and Zameen Bachao Sangharsh Morcha (Save Land and Housing Front). A few days ago bulldozers razed down homes built on private land on the banks of this ghat. A movement against this demolition is going on relentlessly, whereas the government is adopting a repressive attitude, claiming that this is government land.
